we stayed at the redwood lodge or something like that. it has it's own boat ramp and is 5 minutes from the tournament launch ramp. very convenient and cheap place right on the main road of the town. besides the roaches and beatles it was cool! haha

laredo is 50 minutes away and is an international airport. continental flies there for around $300 round trip. bring pain killers for yours arms because they pull extremely hard!!!!!! hahaha...have fun!

There's an ABA at Folsom this weekend that I am wanting to fish, but was having some problems with livewells and bilge pumps. I was thinking this same thing myself. I LOVE fishing FLW with the non shared weight format. I would fish West Coast Bass if they had non shared weight and didn't conflict with any FLW dates.

trilene all the way! you will be flat out amazed at how strong this stuff is. especially 17#. try tying a double improved clinch or a san diego knot...the only downfall about this line is that you are going to have a hard time breaking off when you get snagged!! hahaha..enjoy!

Revo...no question! I sell these reels at Fisherman's Warehouse and everyone I have sold an SX or STX to has been very satisfied. Check the SX if you want to save money. It is $150 and to be honest I cannot tell much of a difference between it and the STX. Good luck!
