I want to replace the depth finders on my boat with better quality ones. The ones I have now are Lowrance X67's and came with the boat. I fish mostly Southern California lakes and the river if that makes any difference. Wondering what models the guides and better fishermen out there are using? Money...

Questions from a novice jig fisherman
I have never fished with jigs before and have some questions. 1. Are jigs ever fished bare with no trailer? 2. What are common plastic trailers that are used? I assume worms, creature baits, tubes, etc.? 3. When a trailer is used is it threaded on the hook leaving the point bare or is it stuck on th...

Where do the sign-ups take place exactly? In line or do they open the gates early for you? Sorry for potentially dumb question but I have never been to tournament before.

Is a jig like this an option to fish for deep winter bass at Southern California reservoirs like Diamond Valley? I remember last winter fishing in 60 ft or so of water with c-rigged plastics.....never have used a jig but wonder if this would be an option?

Which is more important? Good, cheap, or ability to charge batteries? The first time I went there I was advised to stay at Ramada in Brentwood.
