I was very happy and surprised when I found out the parking and launch was free at the lakes near me in Idaho. Used to pay $20-25 at Del Valle depending on if my son came or not. Michigan is similar to ID. Most all ramps are free and the hunting/fishing licenses are much less as well. It didn't help...

Thanks guys! Hadn't thought of line on a reel being an issue or in a package for that matter.

I've considered removing trebles on hard baits and hope I can find some there.

As already suggested, Collins Lake does not allow PWC. Towables, water skiing and wakeboarding is allowed from May 15 - Sept or Oct IIRC. Generally if you get on the water early, there is few if any on the water and they have a long North arm that is 5 mph the entire way.

I hope it passes, but my understanding is it has not passed the last couple of years. I have very little confidence in our state government doing the right thing. The states that have gone to the 12 month licenses have shown an increase in revenue from more being sold.

I picked up a Tranx 200 at Coyote during their last sale a couple of weeks ago. Haven't had it out on the boat, but it cast the 168 S-waver just fine from shore at the local pond. Might be a good fit for your application. Has the corrosion resistance like the 300 and 400.
