Mark I live on taylor, shoot me a pm sometime. Fishing a rattle trap just off the bottom so slow it doesnt even really vibrate and a rip bait is what id suggest besides a jig and dont shy away from current just cuz its cold. oh and we are in THE delta.. not south.. this is heart of the delta man!! they have big ploppers, big sub surface glides, Rover 230, umbrella rig with rig walkers, but ive moved to longer rods on alot of stuff, even conventional. 8'3 is a great length with a 16-18" handle for anything from frogs to chatterbaits and jigs. I just prefer the handle to be under my armpit...

What about dropping out of tourneys all together because he refused to take a lie detector test after winning a TOC. Thats pretty standard protocal these days. If his credibility is so good why not just take the test? Integrity is all you can really judge a man on, younger or not he was a grown man....

This was always a dilema for me. Cooch is spot on about braid around rocks. No bueno. Good to have a mono/flouro flip rod and a braid flip rod ready. yeah drain the fluid, that is a pretty small boat for surge brakes, i can see how that would cause a problem. Sounds like there is not enough forward inertia on the trailer and the small amount of pressure is just locking them up. 2000 is a small light boat, you should be fine without those brake.

Summer, lowtide, outside weedlines. But it kinda has to be a clean bottom. The slimy gross snot moss or whatever can bunch up on the head. Spinning rod, 10 lb test, 3/16 oz and a don iovino spade tail do a great job. the spot remover jig head is a good one out here.

use 3x hooks.. those will make it sit lower than normal trebles by far. The 3x needlepoint owners are nice and sharp enough to drive home with a conventional bass rod.
