So, it looks like the entries are pretty reasonable, BUT I couldn't find any mention of PAYOUT. The demise, IMHO, in the Western tournaments participation has been the rise in entry fee's and the lowering of payouts.

These circuits couldn't draw the anglers needed for the better payouts because they doubled the entry and cut the payouts by 50% !!! Back in the 90's yo...

I'm on my 8th year with this boat and I've run just a little under 300 hrs fishing 5-6 times a month on average size lakes like Pedro, McClure and Pine Flat, with an occasional Eastman thrown in and a 4-day at Clear Lake and the Delta. So that would be and average of 37.5 hrs per year +/-.

Millerton Lake near Fresno has Stripers also. I think the lake record is somewhere around 52lbs. My PB is a 21#er cught by accident while Bass fishing, on a LC Jerk bait !! There are also some in the Mendota sloughs and in the Cal Aqueduct.

In a pro am or tournament that draws co anglers you should discuss netting before you get a fish on. I remember a tournament where Dee had a am bust off a 10 pounder stabbing at it. I still have my "Color Selector"......somewhere !! If I remember right, it worked on ""Light Penetration" to select the best color to use. I also have a PH Tester...........again, somewhere. I guess you could use a Pool PH Test kit and get that figure too.
