it is a 2005 250xs, which i purchased with anextra year of warr. the seals in the lower unit went out during warr, not covered. compressor failed a month out of warr, caused number 6 to seize, no help. i have always run merc, never had a problem. but when i did they told me to take a hike. my partner has an etec, as the second owner, had an injector fail and burned a hole in the block. he was out of warr and had not done the prescribed maint. etec still gave him a new block. all he had to pay was ...

I too had to pick up my outboard motor in a bunch of boxes and move to another shop. i had simon motorsports of ramona ca do my rebuild. he did a complete rebuild, balance, and dyno for the same price the other shop wanted to do a single piston. do yourself a favor and call him before you do anythin...

i have had several break, always just above the line tie, but still love the baits. I only use the bait for a season, then it is a prefish bait or fun fishing bait. They just look awesome in the water!
