Re: Sun protection face covers and gloves
I've been using the buffs for many years now and only need to apply sunscreen to my legs (on really hot days when i have to wear shorts) and on that area of my face between the sunglasses and buff and hat. For this, i have a found a great new product that you all should check out. Its the Neutrogena...

Re: bass fishing in Italy, again....
I just got back from Italy. I was there for my honeymoon, so naturally, i went bass fishing. haha. I fished Bolsena about two weeks ago and it was a lot of fun. Very beautiful lake with virtually no other boats. I caught about a dozen bass with two of them right at 4 lbs. Needless to say, the guide ...

Chad, Sent you a PM
Marc, That does look really nice. I just dont know if it would work with my hydro jackplate since its much more narrow, moves up and down, and is pretty close to my engine.

Re: LSS-1 Structure Scan Transducer mounting location on Bas

LSS-1 Structure Scan Transducer mounting location on Basscat
I was looking for some advice on where to mount this thing. On the step or on the Jackplate (6" Hydro)? My concern with the jackplate is that it would be very close to the engine when trimmed all the way down. It probably wont hit, but it might be close enough to interfere with the scanning bea...

Verizon works about everywhere on the lake except way up the Pit Arm. AT&T's service isnt as good but it still works in most areas on the lake.

The insight map for shasta was better than i had thought it would be. Pretty close to the Nav chip but has way more mountain terrain and surrounding areas. Go anywhere that sells them and take at look at the map and judge for yourself.

I do exactly what Jeff said with the Blade Runners. It works very well. I use the 3/8oz 4/0 Hook with the 6" Bass trix. Just keep some Mend-It handy so you can patch it back up after a few fish.

I dont think you really meant "Upper Sac". That area has no steelhead (cant get back shasta dam). However, if you were intending on fishing that area, you must check with the DFG rules and regs book, its extremely regulated (seasons, catch and release, barbless hooks, no bait, fly only...)

Bridge Bay's ramp is paved (till 165 feet of draw down). Currently its about 148 feet low. So at the rate the lake is dropping, im guessing it will be good for another month and a half (assuming we dont get any rain). And by then we should be getting rain and the lake should start coming back up. Bo...

This was the first year that I have seen FLW require a single bag for any fish over 5 lbs. In the past years it seems like it was only a recommendation. They were really enforcing it this year. Re: which one? mustang or SOSpenders
One minor thing to take into consideration: If you fish the FLW and ever make the cut, you wont be allowed to wear your Mustang PFD (Not an official sponsor of FLW). I found that out this year at Shasta. They made me borrow a traditional foam vest. But as far as the Mustang goes, i have had the hydr...
