Yea Brian and she'd be the first to shoot the person who even thought of stopping recreational fishing. SHE'S GOT MORE BALLS THAN THE ENTIRE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION AND SHE'S A WOMAN

Re: Why Do you fish?
I think why I fish was answered in about every way possible in these responses. I think I'll also add: I continue to fish because, even though my dad taught me to fish, he still can't judge how to sneak up on a good spot, and never closes the compartments quietly. "Come on dad there's a hawg ri...

Re: The depreciating value of fishing for and with the DOLLA
I think it was because I didn't have a swimbait pole, now I do. So my problem is solved, I mainly use lunker punkers and other big top waters with it, but I throw swim baits once in a while. Only swim baits I have caught fish on are the mission fish, matt lures and r2sea. Question: Do people throw t...

Why Do you fish?
It doesn't matter what you fish for -even though it should be bass ... :) I am writing a research paper on the topic of why people fish? If anyone could just write a sentence or two about what fishing means to them or why they fish, I am really interested to know! example - I fish because it's an ea...

Re: What happenend to the tract?
I'm refreshing my response. There are just tons of fisherman, everywhere, and everyone wants to know where the hogs and all of the fish are. The fish are there! There's a lot more to the delta than throwing out a senko next to a dock or tulies. A LOT. I'm still learning a lot myself. This quote isn'...

Re: What happenend to the tract?
WAY TOO MANY TOURNAMENTS. The way not only tournament fisherman treat the fish but also many inexperienced anglers, has a great affect. The other is climate changes, no not "Global Warming". Just later spawns, different weather, polllution, overfishing, tournament fisherman, noise pollutio...

Re: Question for Delta Rats
I fished it at low tide two nights ago and was able to use frogs everywhere and catch a few frog fish. Except, for the one guy from shore who threw a tennis ball at my frog and his dog jumped in after it. You might not only catch hogs, but lucky enough to catch some dogs too. Good question by the wa...

Re: Favorite Crankbait Color?
In the fall I love throwing shad colored crank baits because the bass are just stackin up on food. In spring i love firetiger. and pre spawn i throw craw cranks and rattle traps.

Re: steelhead in the delta?
Good call, it's important we remember to apply preservation in our waterways these days. Plus all fish in the delta especially have health advisory warnings advised by the EPA due to the level of mercury in the fish. Don't eat that stuff.. :/

Re: Clear Lake Stinks
My guess it might be Aluminum. Al3+ is a chemical that attatches to the surface of a fish's gill, and literally suffocates it. It interferes with the ion exchange and depletes the fish from salt consumption. Fish release mucus to try to remove this Al on their gills, and end up suffocating themselve...

Re: The depreciating value of fishing for and with the DOLLA
And yea I agree this year at clear lake is way different than most years Ive seen this year. I lost my biggest bass at clear lake on a swimbait though. It was a missionfish swimbait, and as I get it closer to the boat my curado decided to jump off my rod so there was no line tension and it got away....

The depreciating value of fishing for and with the DOLLAR
I was scrolling through the photos on westernbass of all the fish caught recently and noticed about a half pound bass caught on a really expensive swimbait lure. I know this man was looking for the "Trophy", but it was amusing seeing the little guppy on those huge treble hooks. After (me) ...
