I'm not certain but I think those transducers are meant to be mounted externally. You may lose your down imaging feature trying to shoot thru hull with that one. If you're not concerned about the imaging, You can get the in hull puck transducer with the remote temp sensor built in to it.

Spent the last 2 days of the season perched in the top of an old burn. I saw plenty of does and one spike that I spent about 45 minutes trying to put forks on in the fog and a bear that would have had a dramaticaly different day if I would have had a tag :D

So far, Blacktail. I dragged my feet this year so I ended up with a couple B tags and it's a bit on the tough side over there this year. Lot's of doe's and spike bucks. I filled one tag last weekend now I'm just trying to find something better than a fork, OR will atleast dress out at better than 80...

I roomed with a buddy who had the Frabill outfit during the Clearlake tournament and his crotch was soaked at the end of the day and he was freezing. Credit union may be the way to go as they usually have decent interest rates on boat loans ( 7%ish ) If the boat you are looking at is older than 10 years they may not do it.

Shasta is 23.47 feet from full pool as of 7:00 this morning and is coming up 6 inches to a foot a day, just need a few more good storms and it'll be there. I have heard of some really good spots in the 5 to 7 range being caught last week and this week.

Color wise, now that's a whole 'nother question. You got the right mindset with "clear water colors" and that really is the clincher, matching your jig to water clarity. Matching to the color of forage can be an importatnt aspect, but water clarity is the first thing to consider in pickin...

Neither one gets coverage everywhere at Shasta. I have AT&T most everyone else I know has Verizon. Both get pretty good coverage up there but they both also have dead zones...it's kind of a toss either way.

I took it to Calvin and had him do a full 100 hour service and check everything out to make sure all was kosher before dropping it in the drink.... I still have the Gen 1 702 spinning in the Champion series I have not had any issues with it and it is still one of my main darthead rods.
