Re: New Features on the Dobyns Extreme Series DX

I started switcing over to Dobyns after the Gen2 sticks came out. Got a boat full of them now. Never had a problem with any of them except for one guide insert breaking. Honestly, that was probably my fault as the rod locker lid came down on it. I use Extreme sticks for all my bottom contact stuff. ...

I would consider the Stealth Charger. You can get the AC and DC unit and it weighs about 1/3 of the other chargers out there. Smaller too. The DC unit charges your trolling motor batteries when you run your big motor. The AC unit charges all your batteries when you plug it in. I've been running a S...

I wear either a UV Buff or Simms Sun Armor for the neck/head area. I have Simms & Patagonia gloves. There are less expensive products but they don't seem to hold up as well. REI carries a limited selection of the UV Buff. Simms is branching into bass fishing the last few years but they have a lo...

I like the Motormate. When I got my boat, I had a competing product that ended up damaging the ground wire on my Merc. No such issues with the Motormate & never will be. It supports the motor in a different area away from the ground wire.

Dual Pro has worked well for me. I had bad luck with the Pro Mariner brand several times. I've never had a Minn Kota but have heard good things about them. Lost a bank on my Dual Pro & made the move to the Stealth 1 system. It has worked great. Any system I buy in the future will be a Stealth 1.

If you haven't purchased a charger yet, take a look at the Stealth 1 system. I went to it a few years ago & have been very happy. I'm using it with the Diehard Platinum (AGM's made by Odyssey for Sears). It weighs less & takes up less space.

Gary, I'm guessing this is a graphite stick since I already own a 765CB Glass.

When you say 'big crankbait' do you mean:
1) more powerful than the current 705CB?
2) big crankbaits like good for deep divers?

Thanks for the info.
