Just use the nails. Trust me its waaaaay cheaper. Plus you can buy a few different sizes and have 100+ of each. If you ever need finishing nails at home it always helps. One tip though, If you put them in your tackle box, sprinkle baby powder on them. They rust really bad if you dont. And dont forge...

+1 on the Ugly Stick. My 14 year old niece used a 6'6" Ugly stick spinning rod and it worked out well. I would definitely reccomend using a spinning reel, they're really easy to get the hang of. Just watch the line on her spool, because kids dont usually pay much attention to the slack that bui...

Re: Swing-away tongue trailer question

I believe so, but the length can still vary depending on whether you store the boat with the motor up or down in the garage. The best bet would be to call either a boat dealer or contact the company itself. Better safe than sorry, unless you want to extend your garage 8 inches.

Bass A Thon was pretty cool. Got to speak to some nice guys, learned a lot, and purchased some new stuff that isn't even out yet. Went to the lake after and did pretty well on some of the baits. That quote is right on the money!! Even Skeet Reese has gone to a less expensive rod, and he still kicks a**. WOW! Great points Dan. You would think that the only sponsorship FLW needed, aside from the fishing industry, would be the oil/gas companies. They sure do appreciate the V8s, the Diesels, and the 2 strokes at the pump. And your right, how many of those companies actually sponsor any fishing?

Hondas are good motors, but you have to look at their weight differences when compared to other similar models. They generally weigh quite a bit more. Which may be a reason you dont see too many of them on bass boats.

SWEET!! If you liked the Tracker then I say go with the 175. I am sure with the economy the way it is if you shop around enough you can find a new one for that price. You might even be able to get a deal on a smaller glass boat. Its all about playing the field. :D

I use both the 3/8 and 1/2 oz. I use the 3/8 over weed beds and through more shallow cover. The 1/2 oz. I use when I am trying to get a little deeper. I have had most of my success on the 3/8 oz., but I can cast the 1/2oz. a mile. I use the Revenge Viberator in shad and Purple metallic shad.

Well I'm not sure if your flippin them with a skirted jighead. But if you aren't you should try them as a trailer. Honestly, I seem to have more success with the Chigger Craws. But it all comes down to confidence, if you like the action then keep pluggin away and eventually you will figure them out.

I have towed in a few boats and I have noticed that the passenger side rear cleat is the best place to attach the rope. Otay,

you can try using some of the dipping dyes like spike it. I imagine that they will work just as well on swimbaits just use a cue tip and paint away. as far as the yellowish color you might have to mix up a few colors of dye. Chart. and a lil orange? might work.

good luck!!
