Re: 2nd bow mount meter won’t read transducer
Success! Big thanks to Len. Going back through all of the Global/Local and sharing switches did the trick. For what it's worth, the issue seems to be that the HDS7 was not set to share. Shaking my head as it seems to have kept the HDS12 from working even though the transducer was connected directly....

Re: 2nd bow mount meter won’t read transducer
Mitch, thanks for wading in to my nightmare. Yes, twice now while in the water, I opened up the bow console and tried running it both in and off network. I believe the meter is good as it will read the transom transducers from the network source settings and also by swapping it with the Carbon on th...

Re: 2nd bow mount meter won’t read transducer
Yep. Did that as well. That also helped to confirm that the 12 is working with the rest of the network as it will read from the 9 and 16 as well as from the other networked transducers. So frustrating. No help from Lowrance other than the basics of source and transducer selection that I have already...

Not sure I’m following your suggestion but I have gone into the installation screen and made sure the transducer selection was set to the proper HDI 93/200/455/800

2nd bow mount meter won’t read transducer
The HDS 7 in the bow is too small for my old eyes to work in split screen so I added a HDS12. I connected the 7 to the Ultrex US2 and figured I could just add the 12 by connecting to the HDI mounted on the Ultrex. WRONG!! All of the individual components work when I tested in different parts of the ...

Re: HDS Carbon 16 wont update
Thank you. Finally got it to go via the direct download and install once we got it back I. The shop right next to the wifi antenna. Similar with the 3D module. Finally have everything on the latest version. Hopefully they will all run and talk to each other when we get it back on the water. Could be...

HDS Carbon 16 wont update
I’ve downloaded the latest update both directly via WiFi and in a microSD card loaded on to my unit, but it won’t update. I get a message that the system sees the version (20) available and prompts to restart, but after multiple restarts, it is still stuck on version (4). Thoughts on what I am missi...

For Sale - (2)Shimano Calcutta 400D-$275
A classic with both fresh and saltwater anglers. Serious cranking and with the power, rigidity and durability for season after season use. Now with X-Ship for better freespool and Shimano designed S-Compact Body for better in the hand comfort. Great swimbait reel and would also be at home tackling s...

Chart display not aligned with location
I noticed on two occasions that the chart is showing my location as being up out of the water, an error of about 30’. I noticed this both at Camanche as well as the North Delta. Is there a way to re-sync the chart overlay with my HDS Gen 3 unit?

Re: Lowrance help
I just had two Gen 2 (10 & 8) fail within a week of each other earlier this month. Both are still being supported by the 800 number staff. Wait times on the support number are incredibly long, but the call back function is nice when it works - unfortunately twice i didn't get a call back and had...

Ultrex Installation question
I’ve run Motorguide for 30 years but spotlock has me tempted to make the switch to Minn Kota. I run a Ranger 520 with a 45” MG Tour 109 almost all the way down, but casual observation looks like the Fortrex mount is a little higher off the deck. I am curious as to what shaft length is recommended / ...

Re: HDS Gen 3 Rigging Question - help please
There's definitely going to be a learning curve here, particularly with the structure scan color palates and chart viewing options on bright sunny days. I'm surprised how hot the screen got to the touch while on the water on Sunday - air temp topped out in the low 80's while on the water. I'm very i...

Re: HDS Gen 3 Rigging Question - help please
Correct. Thanks Ken. I'm having a couple of the skins replaced on my seats and will mount the new transducer when i pull the seats later this summer. i had to have the console plate fabricated so i could flush mount the HDS 9 and should have it all put together by tonight and ready to field test Sun...

HDS Gen 3 Rigging Question - help please
After agonizing more than a year, I finally made the leap and upgraded from LCX units to a Gen 3 3D system and Point-1 antenna. I have a couple of questions for the experts: Console - HDS 9, NMEA/Ethernet connected to Structure Scan 3D, LSS 2 flush mounted to the transom step (no jack plate), Pod tr...
