I gave up on 6" Hudds too. The Skt swimmer from Rago won't give you any trouble and you will catch fish on them. They fish great at any speed.

I really enjoyed the NBW pro-team tournaments. They were well ran, fun, tough competition, and they took care of the anglers (Coffee and doughnuts in the morning and a bbq after the weigh in). Try a chatterbait type bait or a chartreuse spinnerbait with double chartreuse colorado blades. If that doesn't work try the same places you were getting bit before the change, with a brass and glass set up. Using scent really helps when there is low visibility too. It's not because people don't want to fish. The fall classic had 68 boats. I think it's that there are too many one and two lake "regions". Make guys travel a comfortable distance if they wanna make the championship or go for aoy. The orgs have dilluted it to where it's not fun any more!

Mother's Finest worms are the best hand poured worms that I know of. You can get them through Phil's props. Arnold can match any color and he will add scent to the worms for a little extra.

When it's tough there I can usually get some bites on a 707 pepper jig with a 4.20 size sweet beaver in oxblood or payback color. 707 is brown and purple.

A change I would like to see is for the org's to do away with one lake regions. Even two lakes per region doesn't seem as fun. I would prefer three lakes per region.
