I gave up on 6" Hudds too. The Skt swimmer from Rago won't give you any trouble and you will catch fish on them. They fish great at any speed.

Try a chatterbait type bait or a chartreuse spinnerbait with double chartreuse colorado blades. It's not because people don't want to fish. The fall classic had 68 boats. I think it's that there are too many one and two lake "regions". Make guys travel a comfortable distance if they wanna make the championship or go for aoy. The orgs have dilluted it to where it's not fun any more!

When it's tough there I can usually get some bites on a 707 pepper jig with a 4.20 size sweet beaver in oxblood or payback color. 707 is brown and purple.

A change I would like to see is for the org's to do away with one lake regions. Even two lakes per region doesn't seem as fun. I would prefer three lakes per region.
