Glad to help fellow anglers in need and keep a monter bass in good health! Mighty impressive for you guys - you were thinking 14lbs and they usually shrink when they get to the scale. FYI - more like I sponsor Dobyn's! Love the rods but I buy 'em retail & glad to do it. See y'all at the frog tou...

Yes on the Debris but not too bad. Couple of large logs were floating in the narrows on Saturday but they had found the shore again on Thursday. It goes without saying but use caution, wear the vests and use the kill switch.Nighthawk wrote:Any debris floating off the shorelines or in the creeks?

Re: Berryessa Water Levels
Fished Berryessa today (Thursday). Markley is using their primary ramp. They said the lake was up 7 feet. I found the narrows to be lightly stained (clearing as you move closer to the dam), the main body stained and Putah was flat out muddy starting about 150 yards inside the bridge.

Re: My Lowrance just flashes and won't shut off
I had the same problem with 2 102c units and back then there was a lot of chatter on WB about 102c problems. My bow unit first "flashed" after only 6 months (new boat - only 6 months old) so I sent it in. Lowrance said there was nothing wrong and sent it back. It (shocker) happened again s...

I was there for most of the day Friday and there is a lot of evidence of the down economy. On the upside, the exhibitors, pros and lure makers are very receptive/available and have more time to discuss fishing in general, fishing gear, boats, boat maintenance, etc.... It's a great opportuntiy for on...

Had a great time with you as well. Not too many bites but a couple of toads is a more than fair trade off!

Re: Angler’s Choice Tournament Trails Acquires 100% Bass WRL
For those wanting to fish the rookie league from the front of the boat and Anglers Choice Pro/Ams from the back, the Delta/Wine region has a conflict with the AC Pro/Ams on July 24th with the Pro/Am at the Delta and the USAC WRL at Clear Lake. Re: Pitching Rod
I pitch on the delta with a lot of different rods including jigs, texas rigs and senkos. I prefer rods 7-7'3' as I hold accuracy at a premium and feel I have less control with longer rods. 3-5 power rods work best depending on the bait (ex: I pitch senkos on a Dobyns 733c and jigs on a Dobyns 705c)....

925 is good. Vessel assist launches from Bethel Island. Looked up your boat and you probably won't want to get out to the brackish water anyways because it can get very rough on the Sac River/big water. I loaded my baitcaster with Suffix Flouro last year (12 lb)..... My guess is the age of the line may be the larger issue so I suggest respooling more frequently. For the thickest hyacinth, the weight/bait is cast 20+ feet up in the air and crashes down into the hyacinth to punch through to the water underneath. Is this the most common practice for everyone? True punching is getting baits through the Water Hyacinth. People are using long (7'6" to 8') 5-6 power rods, 65-80 lb braid, super line 3/0 to 5/0 hooks & tungsten weights ranging from 3/4-2 oz depending on the thickness of the weeds. For the thickest hyacinth, the weight/bait is cast 20+ ...

Sounds good. Gone Fishin' Marine had a swap meet so maybe Mel Cotton's or Coyote Bait & Tackle would be interested in sponsoring the event. I guessing GFM thought that it might get a few new potential customers to see the store for the first time or spend some $$ in the tackle store.
