Re: NorCal Bass McClure
I was up there from 10-3pm at Lake Mcclure fun fishing. Lake was at bit over 800ft and 55 degrees with 13ft water clarit. I only caught 3 dropshot fish, all spots each about 1 3/4lb. So I think 13lbs is awesome.

Re: Another New Lure Innovation!!
Also the boob rig looks like a carolina rig with a floating bait. In fishermen magazine published a small book of 10 best rigs and the C-rig was it, and one of the variations was a floating tube bait. I have not used the bell sinker part, I wonder if the small eyelet is for easier line passage? Othe...

This looks like a neat way to do the double drop rig. The double drop rig has been around for a while but the head down orientation of the tube is cool. There are a million different tube presentations and the worm plug or rearward hooking isnt new either, but cool adding them together. I don't gene...

The football head jigs and trailers on points 25-35ft, try ones without weedguards. I like purple hornet, a brown purple combination.

topwater in the early early morning, football jigs before noon and drop shot/ split shot til evening and topwater again in the evening.
river2sea rover in white, green pumpkin or 301 plastics, brown and black or brown and purple jigs and trailers should cover it.

Just to clarify several posts on fish management. There is a portion of the respondents that worry that ice in a livewell will temp shock the fish. First the recomendation is for a 10 degree drop from surface temp. To alleve this concern please note that once you get 20-30ft down your already 10-15d...

Confusion # 1: To put ice in the live well or not on a hot day at Clearlake? The current best information is that you should attempt to lower water temprature 10 degrees. The reason to do this is to increase dissolved oxygen in the water and decrease fish metabolism. a small amount of ice or a froze...

In my opinion: 1. Lake Mcclure is a nice option, in the evening there has been a decent topwater bite and good jig bite. Its also very easy to navigate, even despite the high water creating some areas I've never seen flooded. a common fish is probably 2lbs. 2. Don Pedro is better for size of fish, b...

Re: Wacky Vs. Tex Rig Senko ?
In my opinion, The difference between t-rig and wacky rig isn't the baits action. The difference for me is that an exposed hook has a higher hook up percentage than does a t-rig. In my experience a t-rig you have to set the hook and that with a wacky rig the fish loads up on the hook in more of a sw...
