I need a little help and hoping somebody can come to the rescue. As of now (at work, 8:00am Wednesday), I only have 12 anglers for my last tournament this weekend at Oroville...and worse...I'm two boats long making me have to coin toss 2 boaters (sucks). I need 3 more anglers to compete in the Orovi...

I was told the same thing. My boat was inspected and they had me put a sticker on the boat near the CF numbers that was good for a year.....kind of lame if you ask me.

I don't doubt that spots and smallies "bite"....I've had worms come back bit in half tons...heck..I've almost had the fish in the boat and it wouldn't let go of the bait (hook forward of the mouth). But I sight fish smallies annually on a particular lake, and have watched their gills flare...

My bass club goes up to the lakeport area annually and we stay at the anchorage inn....it's in the phone book. They have docks to tie your boats up to. Clean place, nice people. Almost positive it's under 100 a night.

Your right, you need a different "chip" for the delta. What I use, I bought at Waypoint in Alameda. I bought the Navionics San Francisco Bay Area "CHART". It has tidal markers, contour lines, etc for the delta...very cool. If you need contact info for waypoint, just PM me. Marile...

This may be obvious, but: 1) As was said before, don't startup and go tearing outta the marina, let your water cooled engine warm up sufficiently. 2) Make sure you do an "annual service". This includes minimally replacing the water pump impellor and lower unit gear oil. It just isn't worth...

Yes, the deadline for checkin is at the launch ramp at spanish flat at 5:00am....the drive really isn't too bad. There are some sort of cabins at Spanish Flat, you can call the marina, and they allow one night rentals when it's for a tournament...I know of at least one who is staying there. I live c...

I'll take a stab at this...test my self professed battery knowledge. First, yes, in an emergency you can use either style battery to start a boat motor or running a trolling motor, albeit one cranking 12 volt battery on a trolling motor is not the same as two 12 volt trolling motor batteries connect...

I have a 1999 champion 202 fish n ski. I pull the kids behind on the inner tube, my daughter on her wake board, stuff like that. Yes, there is still a "throwout" for TOC qualification. But let me clarify. You still get your 5 "show up points", which is what might be confusing you if you see someone with scores for all 4 tournaments on the web site. Here is a couple examples: Person A fishes only 3 tourname...
