Thanks for the advice guys! Im in a local club and we're fishing Delta and Clear Lake soon. Im hesitant about taking the boat there in fear of one of those crazy days. Which really stinks because being from the East Coast those are my types of lakes. I hate the thought of missing out on those lakes...

A boat I intend to buy from another state is registered to the owner, but not titled. That's the way it's done in his state. I want to register/title it in my name in California. Wondering if I should shut it down while the weather is exceptionally hot ... my garage is like an oven right now, and I don't want my charger to overheat, fry my batteries, melt down and start a fire. What do you think?

I use them and like them a lot. They are better than any other float system I've used. One thing, though: Make sure your scale has a pounds and ounces format to match the Smart Cull format. Smart Cull doesn't have a decimal format. You want your scale to say "5 lbs. 7 oz.," not pounds and ...

You go into a DMV office and ask, or mail a copy of your registration, along with a letter to the DMV asking for your due date.

I think it's $45 to replace a Max rod, $60 if you want to upgrade to Endurance. Personally, I would rather pay for a new rod than put a replacement tip on it.

I don't like flipping jigs because they hang up too much. If you want a skirted presentation, try using a Texas-rigged creature of some sort with a punch skirt. It'll come through the crap clean just about every time.
