I know the further North you go (Sycamore on up) there is a lot less CURRENT, but you can still have a 4-5 foot swing, it just takes a lot longer. What i mean by that is some places around Frank's you could have the current moving 15 mph and drop the water level 5 feet in a hour, but up there you'll...

the mojo weights are definitely a good idea if you want it to sink faster, the falcon hooks only go to 1/4 oz. just make sure you secure the mojo weight in the airpocket (superglue somehow) or it will fly out when you cast sooner or later.

Buck- There are plenty of good rods that you can choose from. Normally any reaction bait rod is either a composite or fiberglass, not graphite.
