Re: Clear Lake peaked, heading down?

I fished clear lake 3 weeks ago, with good results. The guide I hired said clear lake peaked in 09 & in 2010 & has declined a little since. he's been on thee lake 17 years. Was still fun.

I also use the 400 Shimano Sahara's series & have worked well. Have new 3000for drop shot , works good. Other 2 are a ABU Garcia Cardinal (was Christmas present)- just OK. Daiwa is the worst of the 3. Don't remember model, but equivelent to the Sahara. My 2cents worth. Only use spin gear on delt...

Re: lure wieght

I have been out muscled by fish on a lighter action rod. Lite OK for drop shot, I use a Dobbins 703MH fast tip action for this. Setup with 8lb. Fluro Carbon. Use a little heftier rod (Powell - don't remember the number) for my Buzz baits & top water. Still remember good fish that beat me up - bu...

Smart Blonde Joke

A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. She says she's going to Europe on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000. The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for the loan, so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Mercedes Benz SL 500...

Re: Aluminum Bass Boats

I fish from a 17ft Tracker that works well for me. I could afford it, some of the rest would be in my dreams only. I fish by myself alot ,so it is easy to handle & launch - single axle trailer. Does move around in the wind, but goes into shallow water where others won't. I go around docks & ...

Considering the time we spend on computers, this is of the most value. Keep it coming. Data is to hard to re-construct. Again many thanks.

Re: Striper Question

Don't give up on largemouth. remeber, you can catch them year round. New to stripers myself, they are a kick. See a lot of action off of tracy blvd. second bridge look east on stone wall. Just down from Tracy Oasis Marina. Lots of boats & guys from shore. Most throw rattle traps or swim baits. I...

Re: Best Fluoro for a Spinning Reel?

On my drop shot rig I use Seaguar Invisx 10lb. onCa. Delta. Made me nervous for anything smaller, just me. Dobbyns 702 rod,Shimono 2500 spinreel. works well. Feel anything moving. On heavier flippin stick, use 50lb braid- with 15lb. mono leader about 3 foot. can lift the house on that one.

Re: Delta???

If you launch out of paradise pt. (8 mile rd. first bridge = left) have some good tule's under bridge. From launch, go north main river- usually stripers just before & around telephone cut.
