If you google the phone number, the first thing is a post on another board where he has been scamming people since 2007. Do your research. He's trash but there are so many scams now, you have to look into everyone before sending money. ESPECIALLY if you post a WTB ad. They target those.

I use the Daiwa Costal 200hs. It's basically a beefed up 200 size Tatula with corrosion resistant parts. it also has a 100 mm handle and comes in 7.3:1 with a heavier drag stack. I use it to throw big glides when bass fishing! But I really like it for big stripers. The T wing system minimizes backl...

If you're coming from the bay, Del Val out of Livermore is pretty good. I've only fished there once but had a really good day catching small mouth on a walker. The inspection is painful though.

Re: Phenix Recon Elite PHX-C796H for Glide Baits up to 2 1/2 oz - Reel/Line Suggestions?
You dont really need any special equipment for swims that small. That rod is very limber and is really a MH action. Youll be fine with braid or floro. I just use 65 lb with a 6-7' floro leader. Ive never had a cast off. I just prefer the ability to drive the hooks in with the braid. Look at the Daiw...

I use an old black 7'2" mh cumara. It's the best frog rid I've ever used. And I fish the delta a lot with a DD on a frog on that rod. The weight lets you throw, work and get less fatigued. Never lost a fish because it's under powered. Probably the same blank as a zodias

Well, I think I know why the numbers of the Dd+ fish are declining, Saw this girl float by yesterday. Easily was 10 before she was chomped. Also saw multiple sea lions. I've seen more of them over the last year than my previous 10 years on the delta. These things are the worst.

Re: Basscat, triton or nitro?
KB, the TR 186 was only 5 inches shorter than my pantera. I believe the actual length was 18'8". It fished smaller because of the wasted space on the back deck, cockpit area and large consul. I'm also am a firm believer in the vacuum mold process Basscat uses. It's the same that Allison uses wh...

Re: Basscat, triton or nitro?
I owned a Triton TR186 and now have a Basscat Pantera Classic. No comparison, Basscat is faster, rides better and fishes bigger. The build is also cleaner and I like the layout better. I think You pay for the ranger name. Not a big fan. Plus I've had to order parts from both and Basscat is absolutel...

Drop shot when you see fish on points. Long tail on weight. Use tiny swim baits to search. Then throw half oz brown jigs with tiny craw trailers. Fish might be anywhere with this weather. I throw 3 different ones most of the time. First is the KVD 1.5 in chartreuse black back. Best for numbers until the fall. 2nd is the jaskall aska 50 in shad for the fall and my anytime bait in the jackall 50 in red craw for better fish.
