I bought two of Dan’s Loomis rods & they’re basically brand new. These are close to half price & a heck of a deal! Dan is a straight up guy that I’ve known for a long time! Buy with confidence!

Recently retired and have the ok to get into a newer or new boat within a year so I'm looking for experiences and opinions on the different makes and models. Sticking with Ranger, Nitro, Phoenix, Bass Cat and perhaps Skeeter. I have dealers relatively close for those, not sure on Bass Cat. 20 ft. b...

Depends what you’re looking for. If you want inexpensive, Sam’s Club carries the Duracell deep cycle, otherwise there’s AGM deep cycle choices from Bass Pro & places like Autozone etc. I know they get flamed, but I had a set of Interstate trolling batteries before I went to Lithiums, & they ...

I had one for years until last season. It is a great rough water boat that I had at Clear Lake, which can get rough a time or two! It is a bit tippy if there’s a size difference between you & your partner due to the narrow beam, but you get used to it. That boat has seen a lot of big fish in it’...

There were plenty of them last season & they just didn’t disappear. The lake is cyclic, the water unusually low & the weather erratic. This may not be a banner year, but fishing will get better & the big one’s will eventually make an appearance!

Is your charger set up to charge lithium batteries? If not this could be a problem as the charging cycle curve is different than for lead & agm’s.

I think you buy the longest boat that you’re capable of. It comes in handy the few times you wind up in big water, the platform is more stable, you will end up using the storage & the ride is a bit better. Having started with a Ranger 185 vs a long time ago & working up to a Phoenix 21 Pro Xp...
