Re: Columbia River at Hood River
I believe it is called Lake Celilo but may be wrong. I've never fished it that early in the year, but the numbers are extremely high there. FishnMap has a pretty good map of the area that they label Columbia River Upper, it covers both this pool and the Umitilla pool. https://www.fishnmap.com/item.p...

We all "have a dog in this fight" We the consumer make these events and the money that is up for grabs available. If we are not happy about the format then we have every right to whine about it if we want. I do however agree that the format was known by everyone, and there were no suprises...

My first FLW tourney I fished as a co on the Columbia I was teamed up with Mike on the first day. A total class act and I learned a lot in that day. I'll tell you he nearly sacrificed his body netting a fish for me and he was just as excited as I was. This sport is important to him and I was impress...

Re: GLoomis, and Shimano ROCK ICAST 2010!
I'm anxious to get my hands on one and see for myself. From the photos I'm not impressed with the split grip design (not much of a split) but I'll hold final judgement on that until I look one over in person. Also the rod will have to do some pretty good parlor tricks to warrant that price....but th...

I use the Seagur AbrazX for everything that i use FC for. I also tried the InvisX and had some weird break offs. The AbrazX has worked flawlessly for me and I use it from 6lb to 20lb.
Also if you search the internet there are still quite a few outfits with bulk spools of the Carbon Pro.

The real point is that the mexican authorities should be doing something about it but apparently are out gunned or payed off(or both). If mexican boaters were getting robbed at gunpoint on our side it would become an international human rights story.

I don't think it's a "G-Force" issue. We just got the crud beat out of us in big water and neither one of my units reset and this was at 40-60 mph. I had this on a humminbird unit that I had and when they installed it the jumper they ran to power was loose. It took me forever to find it. G...

I had terrible luck with it on dropshotting. I've never broke off as many fish as I did with the vicious I got. It was bad enough that I gave away a bulk spool. Perhaps it was from when they were having trouble because it has been quite some time. My buddy also had trouble in the smaller pound test,...

I still doubt that Humminbird will win this battle. I for one am a firm believer in the patent process and hold two of my own. I doubt Lowrance has anything to worry about. The techonology can not all be the same as implied because I just replaced my side imaging with structure scan because it is ten times better. Ask any non biased person who has a chance to use both and you will get the same answer. It is a nice try at st...

I guess I've had different results than others also. I had horrible results with Humminbird customer service and when I bought my new boat I put Lowrance units on and have since upgraded to the HDS and structure scan. It completely blows the side imaging out the window. The one problem I had they to...

They make an excellent product and Scap will custom make one based on your jackplate. He just made me one for the structure scan trasducer. I'm not sure how he makes any money, because he puts a ton of time into them. He takes a lot of pride in his work and his product shows it.

Scrounger heads shortage?
So does anyone know whats up with everyone being out of the scrounger heads? I went to Aaron Martens webpage to see what was up and it is gone.
I know that there are other companies that make these, but I've had great luck with his. Has anyone tried the Lucky Strike scrounger?

We have a lot where I live, but a couple of years ago my buddy and I were out in the boat. An osprey swoops in very close to the boat and grabs a trout. This is a hard question to answer. Everytime you think that you have met nice people they take a pop shot at you later on. I wasn't one of the six, but it was a blast to watch. Those poor guys were getting pretty stressed. It was tou...
