Unfortunately I don't know of any way to change the size of the boat icon. I believe this is because when you zoom in and out the icon stays the same size. It stays the same size so when you zoom in or zoom out, the boat icon doesn't disappear or be too small to see.

This boat is equipped with a Minn Kota and I will only run a Lowrance Ghost Trolling Motor for the reasons mentioned and many more. I will only run the Yamaha SHO! No Mercury for me ever, sorry!

That is the perfect boat except for the big motor and possibly it having a Lowrance Ghost Trolling Motor. I just can't bring myself to buy a Mercury, I'm partial to a Yamaha 250 SHO so if anyone out there has a Ranger Z520 or Z521 with a Yamaha SHO for sale, let me know.

A 47 inch shaft is fine as long as you don't want too much of the shaft sticking up above the mount. In very rough water you may have the motor come out of the water at the top of a wave but that is such an infrequent experience, I don't believe it is an issue. I would also look at the performance of the units and what you are expecting out of them. For the cost of an additional transducer you will have better results and the units will live up to your expectations.

You will need to check the Send Waypoint and Receive Waypoint in Settings. To do this hit the pages key and go to Network. In Network go down to NMEA 2000 and hit enter. Make sure the Send and Receive Waypoints are turned on in all 3 units.

Structure Scan on the trolling motor is one of the best tools I have. I have won tournaments using that technology on my trolling motor. Don't always listen to other people. Use something on your boat and make up your own mind if it is a viable tool.

This is one of those instances where I would want to be in the boat and look at a bunch of settings to see if this could be solved. Where are you located? I am in Paso Robles. Is there any way to get together on the water? Possibly on Lake Nacimiento?

This is a little confusing to address with your explanations. I would suggest going to a reputable boat dealer who is also a Lowrance dealer and have them troubleshoot the issues. The only thing I can think of is the software has an issue. I would call Lowrance customer care and maybe they can remove and reinstall the software to get rid of the bug.

Take a couple pictures of the mounting position of the Structure Scan transducer with the motor trimmed all the way down to make sure there is no interference to the sides of the ducer.

The 3 in 1 ducer picture is very good but the technology is based on that of the LSS 3D ducer. If you have the 3D ducer already, don't change.

I don't believe it makes any difference. The best way to find out is to mount it for yourself and compare the picture you get. If you perceive one to be better than the other, use that one!

In my experience, you will have better performance from your transducer and the sonar picture on your unit if you just buy a new transducer. They run about $70.00 or so.

This is likely not a covered failure under the warranty description but I would still call Lowrance Customer Care as they have helped in less likely situations, no guarantee's though. Call Lowrance Customer Care at 1-800-628-4487 and see what if anything they can do for you.

Yes, you can measure distance from a Waypoint. The accuracy will depend on the EPE, Estimated Position Error, on any given day.

I have a Yamaha SHO and it works fine. I know the Evinrude engines are compatible with the readouts but just not sure about how much access Mercury has given Lowrance for that data. Thanks for checking with Lowrance Customer Care.
