Update: After almost 2 months (6weeks) of waiting to hear if my LTA was going to be replaced, i was told that they would not be ordering anymore for this year and was offered the MicroMag rod as a replacement, paid $80 for the replacement, the customer service was great they answered all my question...

Been fishing more with flukes lately this season, and experimenting with which line to use, i have done braid/floro leader (swivel joining them) and straight floro.. Just trying to get some recommendations on what line you guys think give the bait the best "action" also if the swivel hampe...

I usually run a 4/0 wiegheted swimbait hook when throwing 5' swimbaits, my question is if lets say i run out of the 4/0 hooks would downsizing to the 3/0 affect the action of the lure??

i've got a kistler 6'6 lta ML that i use for finesse, most of the lakes and resviors i fish are gravel/mud bottoms...even when fishing the gravel areas its still difficult to feel it hit the bottom..im realativly new to fishing bottom techniques..so im sure ive got a huge learning curve

So i am now fishing a little more finesse applications and noticing i am having trouble keeping contact with my 1/8 ounce shakey heads, jig heads...etc, have no problem when im bubba shotting w 1/2 oz or tossing heavier jigs,...im using a ML spinning rod and a 2500 reel when finesse fishing..any tip...

went with the vendettas(3 of em 2 Casting and 1 Spinning), got to handle all 3, the falcons seemed a lil flimsy there M felt more like a ML while the vendettas were the opposite felt a lil heavier than what they were rated. The Mojo i didnt like too much (the spinning model screwed from the bottom) ...

Havent made a full crossover into baitcasting gear yet..fished for mostly walleye and northerns for 20 years all on spinning gear..so i guess its just my comfort level with spinning gear is lil higher than baitcasting..for now..but thanks for your opinion, appreciate it. I recently bought the cumara 6"8 m, just amazing rod for wieghtless worms and light split shotting, this season i really want to improve on my jig fishing, can my CUS68M handle the larger 1/2 oz jigs or would i be better off springing for another rod (CUS68MH)?

If you're using spinning gear and realativly new to drop shotting, a swivel does help prevent against the line twisting on you, some people believe that the swivel absords some of the shock on those lite bites, and to be honest i did notice i could feel a little better once i started tying directly ...
