I love my Seal Skinz as well. I have an insulted pair and an uninsulated pair and I would not give them up. I also recently started wearing a pair of wicking socks under them to keep my feet from getting clammy, although not as much with the uninsulated ones.

I was out on the delta on Sunday 8-22 and caught 4 keepers (5-7 pounds) as well as plenty of shakers to make the day fun. The fish are out there.

I dont like the looks of the bolt on deal. the holes in the tubing will start to slot after alot stop&goes. If they made the same kit that wasnt coated you could weld it on and use the bolt holes for plug welds. They make a weld on version http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Coupler/Fulton/FHDPW330...

My neighbor used the Cabelas kit on his older ski boat and has not has a problem. He has been towing his boat for two summers now without an issue. He is only a recreational boater (may 6 times a summer) so I do not know how it would hold up for a hard core fisherman.

I own the rod and I love it for DD22s, small hard swimbaits and big spinnerbaits, but I would not use it for a Frog rod, not stout enough for that
