Do mono and flourocarbon lines have basically the same diameters? The reason I'm asking is that when looking at specs for braided line they usually indicate a mono line diameter equivalent.
Thanks

Re: what song/or band
I guess the time has passed when bass fisherman were country boys! I would be listening to: Gary Allen, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw, and Montgomery Gentry. Of course for you rockin' country boys, there's ALWAYS Lynard Skynard!

Re: Albright Knot Help
I've been practicing this knot with the suggestions posted and also referencing a couple of knot tying sites and I'm still having trouble with it. I've made the initial loop with the flouro, passed the braid through the loop, wrapped the braid 8-10 times around both the flouro loop and the braid ins...

Albright Knot Help
I tied a 4-5 ft. leader of P-Line flouro to 65# Power Pro braid using the Albright Knot. The knot always hung up in the guides. I used the recommended 10 wraps. What was I doing wrong? Do I need to use less wraps or shorten the leader? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Re: Yamamoto Made in Mexico????
I won't even pretend that I know squat about economics and I'm sure I'll leave myself open to plenty of rebuttals But I do know that we, as a nation, are falling way behind in the economic competition. The owners of our major companies are selling out overseas for the sake of profit. They don't pay ...

Re: setting time to synch forum time
-7 GMT is the time you want. I don't think it takes into consideration where Daylight Savings Time is concerned. I noticed the minute differential also. Don't think there's anything you could do about that. When on Standard Time your setting should be -8 GMT.

I'm having a problem with running some of the videos. I go through Firefox and the OS is Windows XP. Is it best to use Windows Media Player? Quicktime? or DIVx? The last two are Apple aren't they?

Owner's Manual for an Ambassadeur 6500cs MAG reel?
I picked up this reel sometime ago at an auction and it has been sitting in a garage cabinet since. It actually looks pretty new, though I'm sure it's not. I looked at Abu Garcia's web site but didn't see this model there, which lead me to believe it's been discontinued. If it's a decent reel I'd li...

Re: New Complainers forum?!?!
What it comes down to is that this forum is a place for pros and tournament fishermen who in most cases own their own boats. Therefore, questions asked by those who are novices or people whose experience level is not that of the majority and who do not own a boat are generally ignored or answered in...

Power Pro's web site details Braid to Mono equivalents. Can these also be applied to Braid to Flouro? Are they close enough?

Re: How To Spool Braided Line
Thanks for the information! Since I've never used braid I have two other questions I hope you can help me with. When using a flouro leader; do you match it's line diameter with the braid? As an example 16# flouro with 65# braid. I using an Albright knot which line is the one that is used for the loo...

How To Spool Braided Line
What is the best way to spool braided line onto reels? I want to use this line as a main line on some of my reels with a flouro leader. I've heard that there are some problems with slipping and the line digging in on itself. How can I best avoid these problems?
Thanks
