What's involved in connecting the cranking battery? Does the something need to be done with the power of the alternator or does it connect like a standard lead acid battery? Thanks

Just curious if any guys with this year motor go through starters every 2-3 years. Lost a starter saturday during a tournament. The main shaft for the starter drive sheared off. I seem to replace the starte every 2-3 years. Is there a heavy duty starter or another brand that makes a better starter. ...

The trolling motor is 36 volt and is wired to the two deep cycle batteries then a jumper wire to the crank battery to make it a 36 volt system. Is this nor...

I believe we stayed at the angels camp campground down the street from the tackle shop. We were able to charge the boat. The campgound was friendly and nice. Bathrooms with showers plus kid friendly with a playground and horeshoe pits.

Since were on the topic of swimbaits what is most productive when it comes to 8 to 10 inch hard baits as far as sink rates floating, slow sink or fast sink given its February and were coming into spring.

I just blew a starter a few months back which knocked me out of a tournament. Bought a new starter and was able to have the old one rebuilt for a lot cheaper. So now i have a spare. Also keep an extra solenoid for the starter, easy fix as long as you have the tools.

What time does check in end or what time does everyone usually launch. I know check in begins at 5:30pm. I get off work at 5pm and have about a 45min drive. Trying to determine if i can make it. I know in the past some tournaments take some time due to the lake getting all of the day boaters off.

Re: Upcoming CBF Event at Castaic - Alabama Rig Ruling
Ive seen striper fisherman use spreader bars on most of our so cal lakes. I dont think this is a ground breaking technique. I say good luck to the people that try. Given our crystal clear waters and finicky fish, i would probaly pass on having metal bars and swivels running to my baits but who knows...

Re: I need assistance concerning Boat/Vessel Tax!
The tax is 1% of the value of the boat. Then you have to add in your voted indebtedness which varies by counties such as schools, water district etc. The valule does depreciate so you can expect it to decresase over time. It is pretty much identical to your homeowners tax bill.
