I fish the lakes in the winter , Delta summer. So when I change I usually don’t go back to the lakes. Having said that if I was in your shoes I would probably go braid main line to leader so I could adjust from heavy to light line.

I own a couple and have had no issue. I have buddy that has quite a few type R's and has had no Issues. I can tell you do not run braid on any reel with the TWS system the braid will in time grove it out. Other than that it's a good reel.
