NMEA 2000 engine data parasitic loss
Not sure if this question was asked before. Does a NMEA 2000 network still draw power when all units are powered off even if the NMEA network is only used for engine data?

HDS10 w/ Sonarhub and LCX-113
I have an existing LCX-113 unit with a standard 200khz transducer on my boat. I would like to upgrade to an HDS10 Gen2 with Sonarhub and move the LCX113 to the back. Would I still be able to run both units if I connect the 113 to the Sonarhub? Or do I need to keep the 113 independent? Thanks for you...

green screen washout
Have any of you ever experienced your LCX screen ocassionally have the color wash out and the numbers turn bright green? It will last a few minutes then return back to normal. This started happening to my system when I networked my 113 with my 38 a few weeks ago. No effect on sonar and gps performan...

Re: Position flicker
Thanks for the info Ken. For a minute there, I thought I was getting interference from another electronic appliance.

Position flicker
I have an LCG4000 connected to an LCX113. At speeds over 5mph, the gps and mapping work like a charm. When I drop below 5mph and especially at trolling speeds, the position arrow will flicker to the left or right about every two or three position updates or changes. Anyone know what this is or what ...

Re: LCG 4000
Ken,
In order to add the LCG-4000 to an HD unit, is it a simple matter of plugging the puck into the NMEA2000 socket with a T connector & resistor? Or is it necessary to power up the NMEA2000 network? Or is the NMEA2000 network power internally?
Thanks for all the tech help,
Al

Powering an LCX-38 w/ a PC-30 cable
Hi Ken, Can I use a PC-30 power cable (came with an HDS-8) to power an LCX-38 unit? I understand the LCX units normally use a PC-27BL power cable. It seems that the only difference is the extra conductors on the PC-27BL used for powering the NMEA2000 circuit. I already have a NMEA2000 backbone runni...

Re: 2 unit network
In your diagram you have the GPS on the side of the tee. The opposing ends of a tee are to be connected to each other or extension cables between tees. Devices like head units, GPS antenna, external temp. sensors are to be connected into the top of the tee. You will need one male and one female ter...

2 unit network
I picked up a 2nd lowrance unit for my boat and wanted to network them together in order to share sonar and waypoints. Before I start pulling cables and drilling holes, I wanted to know if the setup I have pictured below will work. Thanks for the help. http://apexprime.com/lowrance/networkdiagram.jpg
