Mark,
Check out the sunline super flouro and the silver thread flouro both work great and are pretty inexpensive around 14 for 200 yds. Twarehouse has them both

Re: Lake Amador help please!
The lake is relatively small compared to most but I will tell you a brush god Texas rigged is a great way to get them there. During the day top water and frogs early in and around any grass that is not out of water. The creek all the way in the back is usually good along with some of the humps and t...

Re: anyone using us batteries
I had some in my old ranger and they lasted me 5 years. I just bought a new set last week for my new boat but have not used them. For the money they are worth it. If you fish more the 3 or 4 times a month I would be curious to know if they hold up that long being used more. Make sure you get the gro...
Re: Nitro Z7s
If you are looking into a nitro I I would be weary. I bought the Z7 in 2011 and while I must admit the mercury optimax has been great and the boat rides and fishes well but quality is sacrificed with the lower price. I have had my boat in the shop 4 times in the first year and a half with large sing...

Tubes in shad and green pumpkin colors also work very well. Try not to use over a 1/4 jig head. Oh and take lots of terminal tackle along with all the fish are even more rocks.

Re: Drop shot line twist
All of these tips are great but the most effective is dragging the line behind the boat and line treatment. I also use a swivel but be warned it is rough on eyes when you forget about it. I would also suggest trying to back reel rather than fight the fish with the drag, more often than not you will ...

Most of the chargers on the market today have a dip switch that allows you to use both battery types. All you need to do is set the switch to the applicable battery type

RB, This is going to have a flood of answers as everyone has a different preference depending on the fisherman. I Personally use either the powell 7ft med hvy or the mag hvy in the same length with 15 to 17lb line. i like the 7ft rod because you will be needing to make accurate casts at times with t...

triton owners tourney in october? man i hope we get some rain. the slough coming out of the casino is only 2.2 feet deep right now and it has been narrowed down to the width of a boat due to low water levels. fishing is good but the lake is lower this year than it was at this time last year. good lu...

Well i can assure you that if in fact you do go over 5 in an area where there is a boat docked even on a main slough the sheriff will give you a ticket. i got one a couple years back on holland cut where that dock is on the main channel just outside of the track. According to the officer if a slough...

14 mile slough is off the main river channel in stockton. it is on the north side of the I 5 bridge, the port, ladds. The furthest north part of 14 mile hits whites slough.14 mile slough is really long(14 mile says it all) so you will have to figure out the area you want to fish first because you ca...
