water been taken out of New Melones
This week I spoke to a DFG officer and a N M park ranger. They said a foot a week of water has been taken of NM. they don't know or where to. Is too early for farmers planting in the central valley! With a limited snow melt and poor prospective rain amounts forecasted, N M will be a puddle by yr end...

Re: 519 or 520? And why?
I have owned a 2006 Z19 and now I have a 09 Z520. The reason I move up was bc I hated the 19 ride. Coming from a 18.6 Champion, the ride of the 19 was too low. It seems I was going to spear wave after wave. The Z520 is an awesome fishing platform. It beats the champs and the 19. It also rides higher...

Re: Buying New Boat Out of State
I bought mine in Texas this past December. All comments here are valuable and right. I also had pink slips for boat and motor. In Calif@$^K they combine into one. At DMV they ask for the purchase price. They didn't ask for bill of sale. I could have say less but I didn't want the stress later, just ...

I have been in communication with Bereau of Rec/ lake melones. they have said that they follow the White House guidelines for opening the lakes. Now WTF that means, I don't know , but we should be in stage 1 and lakes and parks should be opening. I mentioned that Calaveras cty. relaxed their Guideli...

Lately, there has been a lot of conversation regarding lakes which surface temp has not dipped under 53 and the fall turnover. Taking for example lake New Melones with an actual 53-55 temp. Back in November into December all the shad could be found in depths of 40-60 feet. Along with the predators t...

I looked at La Quinta in march lane. There is a ramp down the road. I stayed there 8 yrs. ago with no problems. I don't know if Stockton has gotten worse than then. I will look into the Oakley and brentwood areas as well
