Re: Wanted To Buy - Ranger Bass Boat - * Any Condition *
salvage report ok? Boat is fine, but salvaged due to outboard repairs after hitting something submerged on the delta. Trailer is in decent shape. 1997 Ranger R82.

Re: East Park Res.
Got up there and found a nice place to launch. Waited till good daylight so I could see everything around the truck then put the boat in. Not bad pulling the MT trailer outta the water. Caught some nice fish throughout the mornin'. Had a few on buzzbaits, a couple nicer fish on the buzzfrog too. End...

East Park Res.
Good day all. I've been thinkin of taking the Ranger up to East Park, but have heard no good news on the landscape for launching. All the info I can gather is that there are no launch ramps at the lake and 4WD vehicles are a must have to get the boat in/out. Can anybody confirm this? Please Reply! T...

Requesting any helpful insight on trailer hubs leaking by. I've had the system flushed and supposedly hubs resealed, yet the problem with water in the oil bath keeps occcuring. Getting really expensive on the checkbook! I appreciate it!

Re: Lake Berryessa
Nearly given up on the resort launches. So inconsistent with the fees and hours you can launch. I've just been using the free launch at Capell Cove and running up the lake. This time of year you wont have to deal with the space issues fighting for a parking spot.

I'm loving everybody's posts. That's the best thing about these forums is to help us all, right?! Anyways, Black Dog's Go-2-minnow is a phenomenal topwater/wake swimbait. I've caught fish all over including clear lake, cal-delta, berryessa, just to name a few on that bait. On days (especially cold w...

Folsom Lake Quagga Inspections
Hello all. I'm looking to fish Folsom tomorrow but just back from the delta today. There's no way my trailer's gonna be dry enough to pass an inspection. I can dry the boat (inside and out) very well. Do any of you know if the State's doing inspections on weekends? Any insight would be helpful and g...

Re: Slow Year for Stripers in Delta
Water is definitely still a bit too warm for the masses to start the migration. Smaller residential fish are around, but more and more fish are moving in by the day. Going to fish Big Break and Frank's on Tuesday to check it out. Need another minor cold front to move in and it should really pick up!...

Re: Slow Year for Stripers in Delta
monday night after fishing most of the day on the delta I drove down to vallejo and fished the carquinez straight and whaked 'em. Mostly smaller fish with a couple 6-8 pounders thrown in. Those fish are definitely waiting to move up into the delta system! Big break will be next! Going tomorrow again...

I highly agree! Mark and all the other employees have been more than helpful whenever I've needed anything! Living right here in Dixon, I can run by the tackle shop to pick up a few last minute things, or I can swing by parts or service and talk to Glenn and he'll set you up with anything you need. ...

Re: I need assistance concerning Boat/Vessel Tax!
I talked with a guy today that has lived in three counties with the same boat. He said all three counties charge a different tax, and actually base the value of your boat differently. That just goes to show us that there is absolutely no continuity between counties in our own state. Still waiting to...

Awesome. Thanks a bunch. I'll fill the form out. I received it from the county of Santa Clara, but I'm in Solano county now so I'll have to mark that on the form I imagine.

Re: Slow Year for Stripers in Delta
Caught a few shakers and a nice 12 pounder in Frank's this morning throwing fish traps. the big one came on a Lunker Punker. Marked a bunch of fish that I know were stripers between 12-18 feet around the bait. I think the water still needs to cool off a couple more degrees for a big influx of fish. ...

Re: I need assistance concerning Boat/Vessel Tax!
I just got the form in the mail last week. I think its ridiculous. Do any of you know if they will charge me a tax again on the boat? I already paid my tax fees with the dmv when I bought my used ranger last year, but this is the first time I've seen the form. I never had to deal with it when I had ...

Re: fishing under highway 87
Super finicky fish. I've caught some better fish there using tiny baits on 4 or 6#. Try pitching 3" senkos in white or smoke/purple wacky rigged with no weight. Small reapers or shorter finesse worms on a dropshot setup works too, but keep your leader fairly short, maybe 6-8 inches max. If you'...

Basics...Clear water with blue bird sky throw white. If the water is stained or youre fisin in low light conditions try black. Bobby's Perfect or the Spro Bronzeye are my preferences. Good Luck!!

Re: Whites Slough - Anglers BEWARE!!!
I've had a major problem the last couple weeks fishing white's. The guys fishin the levees have been trying to cast right at the boats, even though I've been curteous and staying toward the outter tulles. Its obvious they get pissed whenever a boat (of any kind) goes by but still no reason they shou...

Re: Punchin bait Trailers
Really appreciate everybody's input. I've fished the Havoc and it is a sweet bait. Has a slightly different action and feel to the bait against the Beaver. The double wide is the way to go for punchin. I've found with the regular size beaver to rig it weightless backwards for a shallow water, subtle...

Punchin bait Trailers
There's been a bit of controversy over who makes the best designed bait and colors for flippin' and Punchin'. My go-to bait anywhere is always a Reac. Innov. Sweetbeaver and I really don't feel the need to change. Just curious to see any pros or cons to switching things up. Never afraid of change, b...

Re: Unbelievable!
After all the great comments everyone has posted I thought I'd give my opinion as well. Its obvious to me that in all the lakes, including the delta which most of us fish, the water temps are way down from normal for this time of year, including the crucial shallow water calm areas that the frogs do...

Saw some smaller fish working bait this morning and ended up catching a 4 pounder in white slough. A few fish milling around dissapointment too. Good luck!
