I would recommend you give the Dobyns Champion 804C a serious look. Works great for techniques you describe and c rig.

IMO Agro you can get one rod that will work for both frogs and jigs. I personally would use the Dobyns 735C. The reason I would choose this rod is I find the 7'3" rod is easier to have on shorter front decks and makes fishing as a co angler easier. I also like a little shorter rod when walking ...

Split or full handle I believe is a comfort thing for the most part. I personally like a full handle when I use the rod for casting baits. It is my opinion that the Dobyns 766 Flip would be the best rod to work for both flipping and punching as you asked. I am currently doing the same and have had no issues. I do plan on getting a 805 in the future. I believe you will also be very happy with the 766 flip.

I personnally have used the Dobyns 705c and the DX 784c ML (Mike Long) in this situation. I believe you would be extremely happy and well equipped to meet your needs with these rods. Clear Lake State park in Kelseyville is a beautiful park. It is well maintained and offers great access to the lake. I do not think you would be disappointed.

Folsom Lake Accomadations?
What recommendations do any of you have for lodging at Folsom Lake? I will have my boat and would like a clean safe place to lodge. Close by would be great if possible. This is for the future-pro event.
