Re: Sponsorships

Research, Resume, Results. Know the company's products for which you are applying. Personally I wont take a sponsorship unless I believe in the product, I use and like the products alot(not just "its ok"), Im proud to talk about said product and recommend it. Loyality!!! Sure comes easy if...

Fall Turn Over

Getting to be that time of year again. I always look forward to the fall because I love winter fishing. I fished Berryessa last week, it not there yet, but close. So whats your favorite technique once the lakes turn over? Any particular types of thing to look for? Coves, main lake points, steep wall...

Re: Rattle Baits???

Really comes down to personal preference as to which rod one prefers. I love my Powell 703 glass for most application. The only time I dont is for ripping the bait out of grass, then I want graphite 733 or 734. I just have not been throwint the baits enough in the past 18 months.

Re: To Become The Best

Shasta in January is safe to go with drop shot and a jig. Seems to me that last year Erler won drop shotting. Id say fish points and humps in the dam area. Delta in May fish should be spawning. Really depends on weather prior to then. Id suggest using a map and find some protected spawning areas, an...

Rattle Baits???

Ive enjoyed the other topics in here and I got to thinking(I know thats trouble), lets talk about rattle traps, LV500's and so on. Colors preffered(and where) time of year, and how to fish them. I dont know where I went wrong with rattle baits. I used to fish em alot on the Delta and Cleear Lake. Se...

Re: When I first started serious bass fishing

Two great texas rigged baits, the Zipper worm(look below for 20%off) and the power worm. I have never stopped fishing the zipper, but I really like it on the Delta in the winter. The power worm I always use when nite fishing. Like alot of baits that were great and never stopped working, I just got c...

Re: Clear Lake and TOC's

Having been away from fishing for a few years I noticed 2 things when I came back. First Clear Lake and the Delta had way more weed growth. I dont think thats a bad thing at all, except it gives the fish alot more in the way of area's to live away from our lures. The other thing I noticed was increa...

Re: RANGER BOATS RAISES THE BAR WITH NEW, ENHANCED WEBSITE

Very nice. I really like the floor plan shot, very informative. Wish I could afford a new boat, I really like that 119, Ive always preffered a 19.5 boat. Then again there are alot of nice boats out there these days. SO many boats so little money.

Re: No longer a CBC partner BUT

Good to hear you will be fishing more Gary. Personally I prefer that any angler that pays is allowed to fish. Second Id love to have more free time so I could fish more tournaments. I have enough time to commit to one circuit, I choose teams because I enjoy fishing and hanging out with my friends. O...

Re: When I first started serious bass fishing

the hottest new(?) technique was Texas rigging worms..I find that now I rarely use it..In fact I have a worm bag I open maybe once a year, if at all..I was fairly successful using the technique in the mid-south and Texas, however when I was once again stationed back here in California it just didn'...
