a high quality, heavy duty TOW rope. (towing or being towed any distance is hard on rope), a robust tool kit. Can't count the repairs on the water. spare troller prop. You will be glad you did. First Aid kit. Not the cheapos. Jumper cables. emergency start units won't get you thru the last 90 minute...

And, You Probably Will Want To.....

upsize the power supply wiring from the battery location(s) thru the gunnels to the bow. Years ago I converted from 12v to 24v and problems followed - power loss when metered at bow and circuit breaker even when replacing with larger capacity assembly.

Could Be Another Species Common.......

Tulloch, like Melones, Don Pedro and other bodies of water in our region contains squawfish. A non-game species native to riverine waters on the west side of the sierras. These fish can, and do exceed 15 pounds. I, personally, have had squawfish break new 20 pound mono ON THE STRIKE and at the boat....

Jeff and his folks have done wonders to repair and maintain my elderly Ranger over the years. He gets my vote. (multiple glass/finish damage incidents - some my bad, some not!!).

Mother Lode Lakes Have Squawfish...........

and I and my partners have caught 'em in Pedro, Melones and Tulloch. The examples in your Delta fotos look enuff' different to me that I would doubt they are the same species. Any fisheries biologists care to chime in?

Several years ago I posed that question to Oregon Game and Fish. Their response was that bass species could not reproduce in the Klamath Lake waters because of the pH (acid/alkaline) levels.

At Its' Lowest Levels, Melones.....

For my elderly Ranger and trailer. The removeable type from Bass-Pro have been good, but wear out after four or five years. What do you use and recommend? Am leaning toward the trailer mounted retractable type - but from WHO??
