Re: anglers marine tourny
Looking for some info on Pyramid. Boat Inspection? and maybe some fishing info if anyone wants to share. Talked the wife into fishing the entire Anglers Marine season and we will be traveling up from San Diego. Never fished Pyramid before...just drive past it on the way to the Delta!

Re: tourney date conflicts...wonbass/flw
Didn't even think about the mussel issues for Clear Lake but you make a good point. Most guys are responsible and will make sure they are cleaned and dry but it just goes along with why I started this post to begin with. Why are these big major events scheduled on top of each other?????

tourney date conflicts...wonbass/flw
Is anyone else a little bummed out on the way the two largest event organizations have scheduled their tournaments this year? I know dfg permits, summer month time limits and a host of other factors come in to play when tournament organizations set dates for the year, however seems like things got b...

I build nothing but the best glass reaction bait rods ever but for your price range Tackle Warehouse has the Rick Clunn rods on sale for 69.99. I'm in San Diego too and would be more than happy to show you the ways of the glass rod

Look for these guys to be stepping it up on the pro/am scene this upcoming season. They are great fisherman!!! 3rd place team of Kl...

Its very simple. DFG regulations vary by state and tournament organizations have enough "grey" areas to deal with as is. Like Shawn said the best will catch there fish regardless

I agree that the HUDD is being thrown every where and the fish see it a lot. But I still feel like its your best chance at catching a giant. The bait just has everything needed to make truley giant fish eat a lure but the new, mass poured baits are just not the same. And yes I would love to see Ken ...

Just wondering if anyone knows if the DFG put some "bait" in the water on the 14th. I know the lmb"s have been eating the big baits all summer but I want a 30lb striper to crush my PUNKER. Its as cool as catching YT on the surface iron when one of those big linesides eats a big topwat...

I own a small custom bait and rod business and I went nuts for vibrating jigs when B. Hite went on a rampage with the Phenix bait and that camo handled, downwraped, glass rod. Since then I have made and sold thousands of different vibrating jigs and played with tons of blanks to get the perfect rod ...

Thats all I am trying to say. If they come back this way I will be fishing them. I live in San Diego so no matter where the tournaments are held I will have lots of travel, already done 12,000 miles this year easy. I just hope the incredible group of fisherman that live on the left side of the plane...

Man...here we go again. Everyone now is bitching about the scheduale and lakes. First off what Rick posted is hear say, we don't know anything for sure yet. Secondly, the venues will change every year if B.A.S.S. is smart. All the complaining on this sight would be a major turn off to me if I were a...

If anyone here knows the whole story behind the Zman lawsuits I would love to know. I will be working as a pro staffer for the first time this year at the Fred hall shows. I am both excited and nervous to embark into the business world of fishing. The weather was great up there for the tournament. From what I've learned when its howling santa anna winds, DVL stays relatively calm, dont know why, Tom the inspection dude swears it every time. Of course there was a breeze but it never white capped and was sunny, warm and beautiful all day. We on...

Prefished dvl yesterday. It my first time up there since the beloved night derbies. We were able to scratch 13lbs or so with one about 4lbs. From what ive heard fishing is on the up swing. Weather was amazing, 80 degrees in January, can't beat that. Mild nights and warm breezy days leading up to the...

Thats the same dates as the W.O.N. pro-am @ Roosevelt, sweet another conflicting date. Until tournament organizations stop scheduling on top of each other the west will never see the feilds and payouts they enjoy from Texas east.

The lake is very healthy, as any of the hundreds hiking in and fishing could tell you. 2013 is pushing it for an opening in my opinion but whenever it happens there will be tons of brush.
