Re: Replacing my HDS8 with an HDS9 Touch
Ken, Exactly what I want to do. I want the HDS7 for the sonar use and the HDS8 (with the bigger screen) for my chart plotting and way pointing. So I want to put the 8 on a ram mount off to the starboard side. This is where I'm still confused. The HDS8 unit has a built in antenna but do I still need ...

Re: Replacing my HDS8 with an HDS9 Touch
Thanks Ken, A couple of more questions if you don't mind. My Minn Kota Fortrex was ordered with the us2 internal transducer that's what is running my HDS7. Are you saying that I should attach the gen 2 transducer for the HDS8 instead of splitting with the us2 that I'm using for the HDS7? When I moun...

Re: Duck blind etiquette
As a duck hunter and fisherman - I say fish it if no one is home. Approach the blind slowly from the open end and see if there is a boat inside of it. We don't swim out to our blinds. If there is not a boat then fish away. As a hunter I wouldn't mind as long as you didn't disturb the decoy set or th...
