Re: Capell ramp
The lake was around 406’ when they closed it August 10th. It’s now a bit over 409’, 3’ higher, hopefully they’ll get the work done & open it soon.

Re: Trailer Hubs question?
I had oil filled on all 4 of my Stratos trailers. The last for 15 years. Once you learn how simple they are to rebuild you’ll like them. I just rebuild them, 2 O-rings, every 3-4 years. No leaking, no grease gun & no remembering to add grease. They have a rear seal just like grease filled bearin...

Sorry that’s why the 1st thing they do is issue a state of emergency. This allows them to override the constitution & do what ever they think is right to protect us. Including mobilizing the NG if they decide it’s necessary.

Re: Bridge to Woodward Island
The bridge was built to replace the ferry because the water district, that owns the two very large water pipes that cross the island, felt the ferry was not big enough to get the repair equipment & materials across the canal in a timely fashion if the pipes were damaged.

Re: Trolling Motor Installation
With my fortrex it was easy for one guy as you mount the bracket then attach the motor. It does help if you have DIY skills. Also a 2nd person is helpful if the weight is to much to handle by yourself. I had my wife lift just the motor about the 3rd time I put it in place as my back was starting to ...

Re: Transducer on trolling motor
I mounted mine using the specific mount from Transducer shield & saver for my exact TM. It makes a difference on which model you get based on your particular TM ie. whether it has a built in transducer or not. Works great but takes a little getting used to.

Re: Transducer on trolling motor
I mounted mine with a transducer shield & saver for this application. Shield & Saver makes their mounts for specific TM brands & applications. They’re expensive but having a TS transducer expossed on the bottom of a TM makes no sense. Takes some getting used to but I like it so far.

Re: Dual Axle, Garage, Best Way to move boat
I used to use plastic sheeting. 6’ wide 10’ long. Fold the sheeting twice so it’s 2’ wide X 10’ long. Once your trailer is on the plastic you can turn & push it fairly easily. Nothing beats the Trailer Valet.

Re: Par Dee Lake Question
Just remember to have your boat clean & dry including the water journals in your motor. If they lower your motor & water comes out they not let you in. Tip for fishing Pardee.
1. Go during the week.
2. Make long casts
3. Be quite.
I love this lake but the learning curve is tough.

Thanks Kyle. Even the gov. Dept. that runs the place shows it open, sorry you had a crappy day but thanks for saving me a trip to Capell. For future reference the launch at the old Steel Park resort is open, but it's $20 or $25 to launch there, and just about as close as Capell.

Re: Whats the best Prop size for Evinrude 225 ficht?? Any suggestions?
Nobody asked the most important ? Do you have a jack plate. I have a 21' 10 year old Stratos with a 225 HO. With a 6 " manual jack plate it run 75-76. I had Phil's make a 14.5 26 pitch prop to as close to a 27 as they could. No hole problems. You need to raise the motor & get a steeper prop...

Just a suggestion without going into details. Instead of weighing in up in the parking lot, 200 yds from the water, weigh in down by the water where there was plenty of open space. This will avoid some of the problems I saw them have.
