Hey Andy he could try to camp at Bran island but would be very very very difficult. Bran island was one of the parks closed by the state. Spending cutbacks.

Not sure on how the fishing is but make sure boat is clean and dry. No speed limit that I know of. Topwater is always a good starting point up there.

Better safe than sorry. There is no fish out there worth risking a life over. Tournaments have been cancelled because of wind before. Good call not risking it.

Best advice is to just go and experiment. High tide and low tide are different. High tide fish deeper in the mat and low tide more towards the outside edge.

Abosulutely awesom. Next year hopefully it will be on a weekend without another big circut tourny. I.con see there being 350 boats next year. Those who didn't fish it or couldn't find a boat to fish with like me lets fish next year.

I wouldn't change to much next year if no other tournys are going on it could draw 350-400 that would be awesom. Only suggestion would be to have it when there is no 6 hr limit.

I wasn't there for blastoff but I was there for weigh in. Staff and volunteers did a awesome job with that many boats. I heard people were launching at 3: am great planning on their part. Stick with it possibly small fish. Try to find deeper water under the vegitation and keep punching. Even 1 foot is enough water under grass.

I would love to fish full tournys in the summer but California law says 6 hour is the max. The only option at this point is fish 6 hours or do two weigh ins which I don't think the tournament directors and staff would be too happy about. The law sucks but it is what it is.

I am no expert by any means. My best suggestion is the next time you go out ignore the tide and go fishing. When you get home check your results and tjen the tides and begin to learn what worked better on what tide. Than you can start to put a gameplan for tides together.
