I’m on the same page as Big Daddy. I like the plopper for open water. Summertime spots crush that bait. Buzz bait in cover and dirty water.

Is this really a Japanese technique? I know guys were doing this in the Morherlode over treetops with a 082 and a dart head in the mid 80’s and probably before that.

Fishing industry aside. Why does it matter the West doesn't get attention? Seriously, why do fishermen feel disrespected. Who gives a ****. The less fishermen on the water the better, I say.

Excluding Clear Lake, The Delta and the Thermalito Afterbay...Which NorCal mother lode lake(s) are known for having a higher largemouth bass population vs the spotted bass population? I don't agree that its a dead subject. As fishermen and women, we all need to pay attention to what our own State Govt. is doing, or not doing, to protect the water we all need to live, and to fish. Too often bad actors in govt. rely on all of us just accepting the wrong things they do because &quo...

Don Pedro by far has more to offer. Melones = crappy bathrooms, never know if the cleaning stations work, docks are crap, and they dont keep the ramps clean when water drops. Mclure = stupid lake rules and poor water management.
