Re: Rod locker repair?
Yeah thanks I'm not really a DIY guy and it's a little more complex. I think there are some pop rivets in there and the screws that are in there appear to have corroded and snapped off. If there's no other alternative I may attempt to replace the hinge myself but this is my baby and I don't think I'...

Hi all, The hinge on my rod locker came apart and needs to be replaced. My usual service place is booked until October. I'll be coming from Bethel Island. Apart from Boatmasters any suggestions for getting this fixed? Thanks! JFYI here's what I'm up against and it's actually worse now, bent. IMG_149...

Launched out of Russo's at 7 and started a low tide milk run. Water temps were in the low 70's and never got above 77 throughout the day. Air temps were comfortable all day, in the 80's. Wind around Franks Tract got into the low teens in by mid-morning which made boat positioning a challenge. Thankf...

Was still down in the dumps after hearing a friend passed away earlier in the week. Wanted to get out on the water clear my mind. Glad I did. Launched at 7AM, about an hour before low tide. Water was 73 degrees at the ramp and seemed to stay in the mid 70's throughout the day, multiple locations. Th...

Agree about using the CDEC stations if you can't make it out. Once you figure it out it can be very helpful. This past Sunday I worked my way from Franks down to Disco Bay. Viz was 3-6" around Franks to maybe a foot to foot and a half in Disco. Water gets warmer as you travel south too. I only ...

Yeah I've caught a couple smallmouth there in the past. Literally like "two".
But it's cool that you can go there and catch two species of black bass and stripers all in the same day.

Agree, I can never get my boat totally dry. It's always stressful to bring a boat up there. But the inspector was cool. I got it banded so I can hit it again when I pick up my boat.
