St croix ledgend extreme 7'6"
Im looking at the St croix XC76MHMF for pitching/light punching. What are your thoughts on the moderate fast action? I have also herd this rod blank is thicker than normal and the guides are very large on this rod. It weighs in at 4.5.

I went and felt the gloomis swimbait rods and they feel very balanced with a good tip section. They didnt have any 795. I already have a powell 711h wanted somthing with more bend in the tip for these baits.

Re: glx 853 or 854 jig rod
Good to here that they are stilll made in USA. I felt bolth of the rods at outdoor pro shop in oak. They bolth felt great. I am going for the 854 because I never throw jigs under 3/8, if I was throwing 1/4oz I would get the 853. thanks for you input on my decision.

I mostly use 3/8 jigs the most and some 1/2oz with 15lb floro. I am concerned that the 854 is going to be too heavy in action and weight to fish the 3/8 oz all day. If you had to pick either one what one would you get? Also I dont go to the delta a lot, thanks

If you could only pick one swimbait combo, which ONE Swimbait rod would you choose:
A) Fig Rig
B) Okuma
C) Crucial
D) Other
Would you get Med/Hvy, Heavy, or Extra Heavy?
I have the Quantum Cabo PT30 Reel.

Re: To Foil or not to Foil
I got a bayliner capri with an 85 force and it definatly got on plane quicker with the stingray foil on. i dont think it helps as much to a bass boat with a flatter bottom. With the deeper hull and less torque with a smaller motor I think it is more effective.
