So sorry to hear this news. I never had the opportunity to meet Julie, but it was obvious what a great woman she was just by seeing how Troyce would light up whenever he spoke of her. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Taylor family and I am deeply saddened by your loss my friend.

Nothing is secret now, I just shared with you above who is coming out with the hook. It was not mentioned earlier because the manufacturer was not yet ready to make the announcement.

The word is now out... the company's name is Paycheck Baits, headed by Bub Tosh. Look for product to start hitting the shelves by the end of July.

Guys, Rest asure, the hooks wont be gone for long. I'm not saying who is coming out with it, but I just finished making the packaging for the hooks. They have 3 lines of rods. 2 of which are starting to ship in 30 days... the 3rd is a new bass version of their Peacock bass rods - which will be incredible - very very high end for the right price. TAD... if you can find one, you might try the Dobyns Rods 795ML. Yes, it's a 7'9" rod, but because of its longer handle, the effective length of the rod from reel seat to rod tip is more like a 7'6" stick. The only trouble is, because of the longer handle, you might have a tough time worki...

wholly cow! :shock: .. that shatters the record! That's an insanely huge carp! Crazy that it hit a pointer, but maybe that's why it got so big. It's adapted. I've landed them hooked in the mouth before on crankbaits, so it doesn't surprise me too much. Still, you hardly expect it on a reaction bait....

See here's what you do, go on over to tackletour.com and look under CONTENTS... then click the topic you'd like to research, in this case RODS... then you'll see there's a ton of stuff right there at your fingertips dating back to product review on rods from 2001 to present. If for some reason Tony's recommendations don't pan out, I know Drake's Marine in South San Francisco has a Yamaha mechanic, but that'd be an awfully long haul for you. Just the same and just in case, that's one option of last resort for you.
