WTB: Bass Boat $3-$5k range
Hi. I'm looking into buying my first bass boat this year, my budget is between $3-5k. Looking for a very mechanically sound fiberglass boat and long enough to handle open water like on the delta & clearlake. I always look on here and Craigslist for boats but they're either the same ones, or too ...

For sale: BPS Extreme Rods
Hi. I have 4 Bass Pro Shops Extreme model rods for sale. 3 casting and 1 spinning. They are very sensitive (Im9 & RT1 graphite) in good condition; all guides are perfect and never have been replaced. These were my first set of rods; I caught a lot of fish on in the Delta, Clearlake, Berryessa an...

Working jigs, cranks & blades on the delta
Hi all, Sorry if this topic has been posted before, but couldn't find anything recently on this. I'm trying to widen the range of baits I throw and try new stuff. I first learned to use a dropshot & senko and are now my go to baits as I am just so confident & use too. I have grown somewhat a...

I have been definitely been keeping track and I highly appreciate all the advice (you guys have given great advice!) and made me feel a ton better. I'm in the process of saving up for my first, likely older and used, bass boat so hopefully I w...

Lures for bigger delta fish
Hi. I'm a Delta Rat. First step is admitting it. I feel I'm in between stages of fishing now as where I was excited to catch any little green dink to now wanting to catch big limits. I started fishing from the bank with a walmart pole on the delta where I could have access (mostly whiskey slough are...

Re: First boat help
Geez! You guys are now scaring me out of a boat lol. But at least you're truthful and I'm hearing it now. Bank fishing and backseating sounds pretty good right about now hehe.

Thanks reddog, those are things I didn't even begin to think about. I feel kinda silly not to think about factoring in insurance.

First boat help
Hi. I've been a backseater in little bass clubs for close to 2 years now and I'm now thinking of buying my first boat. I've learned some new stuff and appreciate my boaters but it's really frustrating for the most part to be a backseater and living or (mostly) dying by the boater. Anyways, I work pa...

Re: Powell vs BPS
Thanks Kpm, that helps alot. From what I can research, the original max rods were heavier than the new max 3d's but now it just confirms it. That's probably why I see so many original max rods on sale? People upgrading? I think I'll pay the extra for the 3d. Thanks again.

Powell vs BPS
Hi, I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with comparing a BPS Extreme 7'6" Heavy rod to a Powell Max 766? I have an BPS Extreme 7'6" and is sensitive and powerfull for punching and big jigs but is heavy and wears me out. I have a shot at a Powell max 766 for cheap but want to...
