Re: Good starter fishing boat?

Ideally the boat is original owner, garaged with low engine hours under 300. Be prepared to change the electronics, batteries, trolling motor, trailer tires, etc and factor them into your budget. Most glass bass boats mfr's after 1995 are all glass without glassed over wood transum and stringers. Av...

Thank you all who replied to my post. I now have some ideas about what could be the issue. My boat does have a battery switch. I have to switch it on to use all my electronics. You would think a on/off battery switch and engine charging amp meter would be included with Legend boat dealer prep package?
Good point.....You need the battery switch to isolate the OB when charging using your onboard charger..

Re: My starter battery drains!! Please help!

Check your onboard charging system to see if it's fully charging the cranking battery. Check your OB alternator output. Check for any open switches, locker lights etc. Your OB computer needs 12V to start the engine. If your electronics and livewell pump are drawing enough amps they can draw down a c...

Mark, when fished SoCal my guess is you didn't use 20# FC line during day light unless chucking big swimbaits. Finesse bass started in SoCal lakes by anglers wanting to catch a limit of bass after the FLMB became established. If you fished tournaments and wanted to be competitive with Dick Trask, Za...

Sticking to the myth theme FC stretches less then mono is true or false. Both mono (Nylon monofilament and blended Nylon copolymers) have nearly the same yeild strength, point force applied to stretch the line. If we use 33% as a value where FC and mono starts to stretch or 1/3rd the line ultimate s...
