Re: Dobyn's Cull Buoys - anyone tried them?

Thanks Gary. I figured you guys did your due diligence with these before you put them out. I appreciate the feedback!

Dobyn's Cull Buoys - anyone tried them?

Dobyn's Rods recently released new Cull Buoys. Has anyone tried these out? All other clip-on/non-penetrating cull buoys seem to get mixed reviews and these look legit but I wanted to see if there's any non-commercial feedback available out there? Thanks!

Re: Need boat mechanic for electrical issues

Recommend taking it to Jeremy at C&C Marine in Citrus Heights. They do excellent work and its only about 45 minutes from Vacaville. And yes, I would NOT recommend taking it to Gone Fishin Marine for any work.

Re: Rod for throwing Toads

Nothing against Phoenix rods but I would recommend a Dobyns Champion XP DC 735C F/C. Great all around rod, very light weight and well balanced. It does well for this technique and several others (texas rig, jigs, etc.). It retails for $260. If you want something at a little lower price point, the Do...

Re: Square bill rod recommendations

I use the iRod Genesis II 7' Gabe's Rip Rap Special. It's a composite glass/graphite blended rod with a soft tip, plenty of backbone and is very light weight. It has plenty of give to not rip treble hooks out but also plenty of backbone to move fish away from cover. Goes for $149.99. I've been very ...
