Re: Fishing Line

I stopped using mono years ago for three reasons. 1) line memory, it seems the line would get super curly including the first day I spooled it up. 2) line stretch, on a long cast I had a hard time driving home the hook and losing fish. 3) the inability to strip tules without breaking the line. When ...

Re: bass are on beds on the Delta

Saw several sea lions over the weekend . So one eating about a 5 pound bass . They are smart I've watch them run the shallows and chase down the spawning bass . Worst thing for the fishery and they have no enemies in the delta water system nothing to eat our kill them beside a 22 lol. I think its t...

2000 Triton TR19 Low Hours *price reduced* $9400

I’m about to upgrade from my 18’11” Triton and that’s the only reason I’m selling it. The boat has a 175hp direct injected Evinrude Ficht with only 425 hours on it, runs great and it’s always been serviced at Boatmasters. Two or three years ago I spent $5700 replacing the lower unit. The tilt/trim h...

Re: how do we define the CA Delta regions.?

Depending on where you want to fish you can slide your Yak in at Paradise Point in Dissapointment and this would give you lots of access to very good fishing water without being on the main channel. Holland or Orwood is a great marina for heading south. For going North - drop in at Wimpy's lots of ...

Re: MLF Clear Lake Thoughts?

I based my 27 limit number on my own performance last week. I had a 25+ limit in 15 minutes on one spot. You have to move to find winning fish. Your not going to pull out a flipping stick and beat these fish into submission. To much pressure. Hi Kelly, I caught 14 of the 15 fish I weighed on a flip...

My brother and I were on the river yesterday through Whiskey Slough, across Empire Cut and heading down south near Bullfrog. There was less floating debris than we expected and generally speaking the water had unexpected good clarity. We also saw 4 seals/sea lions.
