Re: Jump Start Box for Optimax???

I keep a noco 40 in the boat and truck. I haven't used it on my optimax yet, but I did use it on my old one ton, 454 last week after it sat. It started up. I've used it on a ford 5.4L also a couple times. The 5.4L ford started up right a way. The one ton battery was so dead the interior lights would...

Re: Nissan Frontier towing a bass boat

I tow a 20 foot bass boat with my V6 Toyota 4Runner. I've taken it all over including Clear Lake and Trinity Lake. The trailer brakes are nice to have. I don't think you'll have a problem with an 18 footer. I'm considering getting a larger truck, but that's mostly cause I've had my 4Runner for 11 ye...

Re: California Angler Culture

I tend to disagree. I am from California, but I spent some time living in AZ and TX. I think TX has some of the rudest fishermen you'll see anywhere. All you need to do is spend a day on Lake Fork to confirm. If you think Clear Lake and the Delta are bad for being cut off, go to Lake Fork or just ab...

Re: Cal Delta Fishing - Looking for a fishing buddy

The delta can be a little tough. I've been re learning it myself after moving out of state and coming back. So much has changed. Anyway, I live in Concord too, near Oak Grove and Treat. Feel free to send me an email at Peter.william.lloyd@gmail.com, and we can go hit the water. I have a bass boat, a...

Re: Dallas Texas area lakes

I lived in Dallas for about 4 years. I think it's worth the drive to Lake Fork. For one the fishing is much better, and you'll have a lot more options for places to stay and guides. It's been awhile for me, but texasfishingforum.com is a good suggestion. Also, check out Lake Fork Marina.

Good luck

Re: CA DELTA FISHING (Lost and Confused Begginers)

Go somewhere like Mildred Island and dissect it. Fish inside and outside, shallow and deep till you find them. You can move out and fish it like a lake with drop shot or go shallow and flip. There's fish there. Senkos, spinnerbaits, cranks on the rip rap, rattle traps on weed edges. Just be patient....
