Talked to Vince today. He said 55 were signed up. Seems like a pretty good deal if you don't have tons of prefish time and still want to compete. Pre sign and be paid up by the 1st tournament. Anyone handpaint baits(swim baits) around auburn/roseville area?

Not sure the rod is the deal. Finding a reel that will wench a 4 # fish out of the mats could be trouble. Curious if anyone is using a spinning combo. Bait caster combos are accurate, powerful, stout. Very interesting question.

Honestly, don't know if these puffy jigs catch anything but looks to me like it would keep the bait from wedging into smaller rocks. 1/4 oz size might bounce right along. Maybe saving a few baits.

Launched today at Oaks. Backed the trailer in until it started to drop off ramp. Wiggled the Ranger off the trailer. Trolling motor out. Reverse order and cranked boat onto trailer. Stories of rock piles In Close vicinity to ramp. Be careful. Good luck.
