Re: When will water vis improve in the Delta?

This time.of year can be very difficult as well as very rewarding. Mud or not. If you want to.make sure your going to catch I would say to hit up Clear Lake or any of the foothill lakes.

I would get a bait caster. Flipping I find to be a big deal. I would us a Med-heavey. I'm not sure want you are comfortable with techniques. I would add one or two new ones a year.

Re: Jerkbaits

Light drag and glass rod preferred MH. Still need some rod to move the bait. No hook set needed. They will set the hooks them selves. Check your hooks offen. Buy a hook sharpener.

Re: Boat registration in CA

Each county has there responsibility, Lake county receives there water from the lake and it would be a hug blow financialy to the town's around the lakes if these mussels get into the lake. Most people understand want needs to happen. Most not all and that is why they have to have inspections and te...

Re: With the great job being done in Washington

All the things Trump did where not bad, and all the things Obama did where not good. Economically Obama did better than his predecessor. Taking in account for want was handed to him I would go as far as saying he did better than Trump. 8 years Obama averaged 13.8 % growth, Trumps 4 years 15.4% tax c...

I would like to say shame on both the Democratic and Republican's partys. We are in the middle of a pandemic and they are playing politics. If you are think to yourself, yes that is true about the other party but not about yours. You are lieing to yourself. You then are the person that only believe ...

Re: Trump’s claims about California water & a “certain little tiny fish

The tiny fish is a canary in the gold mine. Taking water out of the delta takes salmon out of the commercial fisherman. It also takes money out off the community that have the weekend tourist. How about we modernize the delta and build more dams. The dams dont need to be huge. Small to medium size. ...

Re: Bed fishing help

I like the one two punch for going after the big girls. A big glide baits for two reasons. The big girls will eat it or show themselves. Then a small jig (1/15 oz) hair jig black or lime green. If they breath on the jig it's in there mouth. Once again this can all go out the window some days. I like...

Re: What Marinas are open on the delta?

I went out Saturday at Oasis Marina. There was no one to pay just drop money envelopes to pay your fees in. There where quite a few boats on the water. I only saw 3 boats that I would said where not practicing in social distancing. This is no worse than the teen's and 20 something's at the park by m...

As for the one and done. If your using the screwlock for as big as you can with the screwlock. For the other swimbaits I find you have to use smaller hooks to let the body have as much movement as possible. I also use the ball heads

Re: Winter at Clear lake?

I would say everthing you said is true. For most the nor cal lakes. Also believe the lack of planted trout for years has hurt the smaller lakes as well as the fires. The bait has been much smaller in the past few years with the sustained cover of smoke for month's.
